HELLO.

SHARE IN OUR PASSION FOR SPACE

It all began in 2020 when a group of like-minded students & space enthusiasts decided they needed a place to celebrate everything space.  Starting as a club we soon grew in a very short length of time, becoming a society less than 12 months since our inception.  We aim to offer all members inspiring talks, thought-provoking chats & a place to truly let their full space-geek come out.
Welcome.

Hi my name is Lauren. I’m currently studying Astronomy & Planetary Science with OU.
I played the piano for 12 years. I am AAT Level 3 qualified and have a certificate of higher education in Accounting from BCU. I left my career in accounting to look after my daughter and study a subject that I truly find interesting!

HELEN ROGERS

EDI Officer & Merchandise

Hi, my name is Helen and I am studying for a BSc (Hons) Natural Sciences (Astronomy and Planetary Science). This is my second degree, my first was a BSc (Hons) Environmental Health. After a 13-year career in that field I gave it up to care for my 3 children and decided to study a topic that I have always loved! I would love to work in the space sector when I have completed my studies, although I am still not sure which part! It is never too late to follow a dream!

Hey, I’m Ben. I’m currently studying towards an MSc in Space Science and Technology (F77) and I previously completed the BSc Natural Sciences (Physics) both with the Open University. I’ve always had an interest in space from watching Star Wars as a kid to reading far too much Sci-fi through my teens and my many misadventures playing Kerbal Space Program. The astronomy and space science modules of my studies have always been the most interesting for me, I really recommend the S818 Space Science module, it’s probably my favourite module I’ve done with the OU, especially the Mars rover week.
