About the Event
Speaker Bio: Ned Robertson is a mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Leeds. He has worked at Skyrora for 2 years, starting as a graduate project engineer and currently working within the propulsion department. Studying under Mikhail Andrievskiy, Head of Propulsion at Skyrora, his role is oriented around the manufacture of Skyrora’s orbital 70kN engine and gaining valuable propulsion knowledge and experience that is hard to come by in the UK. He works in assembly, improving manufacturing processes and creating and implementing quality control procedures. In his time at Skyrora he has been involved in the second stage static fire test of Skyrora XL from Machrihanish Airbase in August 2022 and the Skylark L test launch from Iceland in October 2022, but mostly as a key member in the 70kN engine qualification team.
