About the Event

As the total solar eclipse for 2024 occurs, solar activity is forecast to continue to rise until the solar maximum in 2025. We are learning more and more about how the sun works, but we are also becoming more and more vulnerable to its outbursts. This talk will bring the audience up to date with what we know now, some near misses that have occurred, and what devastation the sun could cause at any time.
